Tam Cowan started writing jokes around about the same time he first discovered his passion for eating.
He now makes the nation laugh every week in print and on air.
Tam showed early promise as a comedy writer gaining writing credits for Radio 2’s Week Ending show whilst still at school. He went on to pen sketches for programmes including Naked Radio and Little and Large and was soon appearing in print with his popular football columns in Glasgow’s Evening Times.
Tam’s TV credits include the long-running football comedy Offside, the Scottish travelogue Taxi For Cowan for BBC Scotland and his new series for STV It’s Never Too Late.
Tam currently contributes two weekly humorous columns to the Daily Record together with a popular restaurant review in the paper’s Saturday magazine, and the occasional foray into art criticism!
As well as winning two prestigious Sony awards for Off the Ball, Tam has picked-up Royal Television Society awards for Best Regional Sports Entertainment Programme and Best Regional Presenter.
