Students of the Cumnock Design and Print Studio’s Creative Skills programme have been working towards an exhibition of their work in the Baird Institute over the last few months.

Creative Skills is a programme within Kilmarnock College which is aimed at adults who require support with learning, and specifically those with mental health problems and/or learning difficulties. The students learn a range of skills such as art and craft work, pottery, screen printing, drawing, painting and framing. Core skills include numeracy, literacy and IT.

This vibrant exhibition contains exhibits ranging from charming paintings and prints of the local landscape in a variety of media, to ceramic objects, and miniature animals.

The exhibition is open at the Baird from Thursday – Saturday, 11am – 5pm.

Exhibition runs Thursday 10th May – Saturday 23rd June.
